Attack of the Goonies
I saw this story last night and was too flummoxed to fully grasp its implications. An editor from a news website in Alaska was “arrested” by U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller’s private security guards Sunday as the editor attempted to interview Miller at the end of a public event in an Anchorage school.
What candidate Miller’s hired goons did we called “kidnapping” in law school; also “assault” and “battery.” Â This is the kind of thing we can expect in a world run by the current crop of Republican nutjob candidates out there.
Don’t say you weren’t warned.
UPDATE: Candidate Miller told national news media on Monday his campaign had been “required” to hire a security team under the terms of the lease that granted him access to the school cafeteria he used to hold his “Town Hall” meeting. Â Of course, he was lying. Â
UPDATE 2: Turns out the goon squad Candidate Miller brought with him included two active duty US Military personnel who could — should — end up in dutch with Uncle Sam.
