Dispatch from the Art Front
The city council in Milan, Italy is refusing to bow to calls for the removal of the sculpture depicted above — entitled L.O.V.E. — a creation of Italy’s most renowned living artist, Maurizio Cattelan.
The sculpture sits in the Piazza d’Affari, outside the Milan Stock Exchange, where it is set to remain until the conclusion of a retrospective of the artist’s work on October 24.
No word yet on whether it may appear outside the NYSE on Wall Street.
