While the Getting’s Good

Those who know me well have known for a long time my favorite magazine — pretty much the only magazine I’ve read consistently during the past twenty years — has been Harper’s.  I think of it as a kind of New Yorker for the rest of us.

Well, if you care to know a little bit about what makes me tick or if you just want to get your hands on some of the most interesting reading you’d ever want on a monthly basis, I highly recommend a subscription to Harper’s. It’s only been holding down America’s intellectual fort for 160 years running.

Even if you don’t subscribe, you should go to the website right now and read Ken Silverstein’s farewell letter.  He pretty much explains everything that’s wrong with Washington, DC and American journalism.
